Skyhook CEO calls for government funding for plane project

Plodding credit markets and reluctant governments have delayed the prototype of an aircraft that, says the CEO of the Calgary company behind the project, is critical to developing Canada’s North.
“What we really need, though, is a large input of government funding into this, because it’s a project that’s going to assist the infrastructure of Canada, the United States, Europe,” said Ric Charron, CEO of Calgary-based SkyHook International Inc. “To get private money into this, without government money, is almost impossible.”
